Jane Rucker

Biography

Jane Rucker, matriarch of the Rucker family of Tacoma, helped guide the city's early development through real estate ventures, philanthropic giving, and unwavering support for schools, churches, and children in the growing community.

Her family home became a gathering place, and when she died she was laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery where residents remember her generous spirit.
