János Bobula

Biography

János Bobula (1871–1922) shaped Budapest’s turn-of-the-century architectonic identity with buildings that married confident form with a thoughtful sense of place, whether in sacred spaces, schools, or civic commissions.

He believed good architecture could uplift daily life, mentoring younger colleagues and leaving a legacy of enduring detail and proportion; his memory rests among the stones of Farkasréti Cemetery.
