János Jósika was a Hungarian politician born in 1778 who played an active role in the political life of Transylvania during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. As a member of the Hungarian nobility, he engaged with the complex political structures and reform movements of his era.

Jósika's political career spanned a period of significant change in Central Europe, and he died in 1843 at an advanced age.
