Biography

János Szabados (1839–1891) was a Hungarian poet whose verses contributed to the rich literary tradition of 19th-century Hungary. His poetic works reflected the sensibilities and concerns of his era, engaging with themes of national identity, nature, and human experience that resonated with his contemporaries.

Szabados's poetry exemplified the creative spirit of Hungarian Romanticism and the evolving literary movements of his time. Though his life was cut short, his contributions to Hungarian letters remain part of the nation's cultural heritage. He was interred at the Central graveyard in Szeged.
