Biography

Jarko Dvořák-Šumavský painted the world with attentive eyes, bringing the landscapes of his homeland and the depth of human experience to vivid life on canvas. Born in 1887, the painter captured both the grandeur of mountains and the intimacy of village life, using color and form to illuminate subtleties others might have overlooked.

He shared his art openly, encouraging young artists to explore authenticity and breadth of vision. When he passed in 1964, the artistic community felt the loss keenly, yet his work continues to inspire at Svatováclavský hřbitov and across the galleries that preserve his legacy.
