Biography

Jaroslav Hlaďo (1913–1990) was a Czech fighter pilot whose service exemplified the courage of those who defended their nation during World War II. Born in the interwar period, he answered the call to military service during one of history's most consequential conflicts, flying combat missions in defense of freedom and Czech independence.

Hlaďo passed away in 1990 and was interred at Olšany Cemetery in Prague. His legacy as a fighter pilot represents the sacrifice and bravery of Czech airmen during the Second World War and the broader struggle for Czech sovereignty in the twentieth century.
