Biography
Jaroslav Jirásek was born in 1920 and grew up in the interwar Czechoslovak state. His formative years were shaped by the promise of independence and democracy, before the shadow of Nazi tyranny descended upon Central Europe.
Jirásek died in 1945 at the age of 25, his young life ended by the war. He was buried in the National Cemetery in Terezín, honored among the generation of young men and women whose potential was extinguished by the conflict.
