Biography
Jaroslav Koch was born in 1890 in Bohemia. He came of age during the final decades of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and witnessed the birth of the Czechoslovak nation in 1918.
Koch died in 1945 as World War II drew to a close. His remains were placed in the National Cemetery in Terezín, a memorial site dedicated to preserving the memory of those who did not survive the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia.
