Biography

Jaroslav Prokš was a young Czech man whose life was marked by the turbulent events of World War II. Born in 1899, he came of age during the interwar period of Czechoslovakia and lived through the German occupation and the devastation of the Second World War.

Prokš's life was cut short in 1942 during the war years. He was laid to rest in the Main cemetery in Louny, where he is remembered as part of a generation that endured extraordinary historical circumstances during their formative years.
