Jay Abel Hubbell

Biography

Jay Abel Hubbell (1829-1900) carried the concerns of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to the national stage for a decade, working in Congress to support infrastructure, education, and fair access to the region’s natural resources.

When he returned home, he kept serving as a trusted counselor, helping younger leaders to develop their skills and reminding them that integrity and service go hand in hand.
