Biography
Jean Étienne Franklin Dubois was a French artist whose work contributed to the artistic landscape of early nineteenth-century France. His creative practice spanned a period of significant cultural and artistic change, from the Restoration through the July Monarchy.
Dubois maintained his artistic endeavors throughout his career in Paris, ultimately being laid to rest in Montmartre Cemetery. His burial there reflects his recognition within the artistic circles of the capital.
