Biography

Jean Lafosse was a French politician who served during the transformative period of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. His career spanned the revolutionary era and the subsequent reorganization of French governance, during which he contributed to the political life of his nation.

Lafosse's legacy is preserved in the cimetière du Père-Lafosse, a burial ground that bears his family name. He remained active in public service until his death in 1820, having witnessed and participated in some of the most significant political changes in French history.
