Biography
Jean Lutas, born 1922, answered the call of the Resistance in the industrial heartland near Aniche, organizing daring acts of defiance while maintaining a gentle warmth for his neighbors.
He died in 1944 before seeing France freed, but his courage and concern for the common good continue to be honored at Cimetière du Sud d'Aniche.
