Biography

Jean Paul Ertel (1865–1933) was a German composer whose musical works contributed to the cultural life of his era. Active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, he composed music that reflected the artistic sensibilities of his time and engaged with the musical traditions of his generation.

Ertel's compositions and contributions to German musical culture were recognized by his contemporaries. He was interred at Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among other notable cultural figures of his period.
