Biography

Jēkabs Peterss was a Latvian-born Soviet military officer who served in the Red Army and held significant positions in Soviet military structures. He contributed to the development of Soviet military institutions during the early Soviet period.

Peterss was executed at the Kommunarka shooting ground in 1938 during the Great Purge. His death reflected the devastating impact of Stalin's purges on the Soviet military leadership and the persecution of Old Bolsheviks.
