Biography
Jens Bang (1737–1808) practiced medicine with compassion, tending both wealthy patrons and the less fortunate, and his commitment to care is commemorated in Assistens Cemetery.
He kept abreast of contemporary medical knowledge, helped organize care during epidemics, and supported clinics that offered services to those unable to pay, believing every patient deserved dignity.
