Biography

Jens Schou practiced surgery in a period marked by advancing techniques and increasing public demand for better care, and he welcomed those improvements with a steady hand and a warm bedside manner. He dedicated himself to refining surgical procedures and to mentoring younger physicians in the value of calm deliberation amidst urgent need.

Colleagues recalled him for his unwavering compassion and his advocacy for hospitals that served all citizens, and his legacy is honored at Vestre Cemetery.
