Biography
Jerzy Knabe was a Polish figure whose life spanned much of the twentieth century, born in 1933 and passing away in 2024 at an advanced age. He maintained connections to Warsaw's cultural and civic life, ultimately being laid to rest at Powązki Cemetery, one of Poland's most significant burial grounds.
His long life witnessed tremendous changes in Poland and Europe, and he remained part of Warsaw's community throughout his years. Knabe's legacy is preserved among the notable figures interred at Powązki Cemetery.
