Biography
Jerzy Szewczyk was born in 1927 and lived through much of Poland's twentieth-century history, witnessing and experiencing the nation's transformations. His life spanned nearly six decades of cultural and social change.
Szewczyk's memory is preserved at Cmentarz Bródnowski, one of Warsaw's most significant cemeteries, where he rests among many notable figures from Polish history and culture.
