Jim Tully
1886–1947 (age 61)
Biography
Jim Tully rose from a hardscrabble youth to become a celebrated writer and raconteur, chronicling the lives of hobos, boxers, and vaudeville performers in novels and memoirs that captured the grit and humor of early 20th-century America.
He also brought his rough-hewn charm to the screen and the stage, and today his legacy of storytelling rests quietly at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
