Biography

Jindřich Karel Pauer (1840–1915) was a joiner whose skilled craftsmanship contributed to the material culture and built environment of Prague during the nineteenth century. Born in 1840, he practiced his trade through decades of the Austro-Hungarian period, creating works of practical and artistic value.

Pauer was laid to rest in Olšany Cemetery, where his grave stands as a memorial to the artisans and craftsmen whose labor and skill enriched the daily life and architecture of the Czech lands.
