Jindřich Pech

Biography

Jindřich Pech, born in 1837, poured the cadences of Prague into compositions that resonated with local pride, weaving folk motifs and heartfelt lyricism into music meant for both salons and concert halls. His melodies offered solace and celebration, echoing the city’s rhythms long after performance nights.

He died in 1905 and was laid to rest at Olšany Cemetery, where fellow musicians and friends remember a composer whose works gave voice to the hopes and longings of his era.
