Biography
Jiří Herzinger (1923–1999) was a Czech poet whose literary contributions reflected the cultural life of twentieth-century Czechoslovakia. His work emerged during a period of significant artistic and intellectual activity in Czech letters, navigating the various political contexts of his era.
Herzinger's poetic voice contributed to Czech literary tradition during much of the twentieth century. He passed away in 1999 and was laid to rest at Olšany Cemetery in Prague, where his memory endures among the city's cultural figures.
