Biography

Jiří Wolker was a remarkably talented Czech writer whose literary career, though brief, left an indelible mark on Czech literature. Born in Prostějov in 1900, he emerged as a significant voice during the early 20th century, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative expression to his works.

Despite his youth, Wolker's contributions to Czech letters demonstrated exceptional promise and artistic maturity.
