Biography

Joaquim José Inácio, Viscount of Inhaúma (1801–1869), was a distinguished military officer who served the Brazilian Empire with distinction. His military career spanned much of the nineteenth century, during which he participated in significant campaigns and held important positions.

As a member of the nobility and a respected military leader, the Viscount of Inhaúma played an important role in Brazilian affairs during the reign of Emperor Pedro II. His contributions to the nation's defense and security remain part of Brazil's military heritage.
