Biography

Joe Venuti was a pioneering jazz violinist who revolutionized the role of the violin in jazz music during the early twentieth century. Born in 1903, he became one of the first musicians to demonstrate that the violin could be a sophisticated solo instrument in jazz, earning him recognition as a virtuoso performer and innovator.

Throughout his career, Venuti collaborated with many of the era's greatest musicians and recorded extensively, leaving a lasting legacy in jazz history.
