Joel Stone Ives

Biography

Joel Stone Ives was born in 1847 and matured during the decades when shared labor and mutual support helped heal the divisions of the Civil War.

He greeted each new day with determination, lending a hand where it was needed and offering wise counsel at Walnut Grove gatherings, and he is honored there among his peers.
