Johann I Joseph, Prince of Liechtenstein (1760–1836) was a prominent political figure whose diplomatic and administrative career spanned the turbulent decades of the Napoleonic Wars and their aftermath. As a member of one of Europe's most influential princely families, he wielded considerable influence in Central European affairs and played a significant role in the political restructuring of the region.
The Prince was laid to rest in the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Vranov, a burial place befitting his exalted status and his family's deep connections to the Moravian lands. His long life witnessed the transformation of Europe from the ancien régime through the Congress of Vienna and beyond.
