Biography

Johann Säxinger, born in 1833, devoted his career to university teaching in Prague, instilling rigorous scholarship and a love of learning in the students who passed through his lectures.

He was known for patience in the classroom and kindness beyond it, and after his death in 1897 the city of Prague laid him to rest.
