Johann Wilhelm Friedrich Schweitzer (1847–1916) was a German rentier, a man of independent means who lived a life of relative comfort and leisure during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His status afforded him the opportunity to engage in personal pursuits and community life without the necessity of formal employment.

Schweitzer's life reflected the lifestyle of the educated middle class during this period of German history. He spent his later years in Berlin, where he maintained his residence and social connections. He was interred at Friedhof Zehlendorf.
