Biography

Johannes Conradsen, born in 1783, trained as a medalist whose finely wrought reliefs honored monarchs, scholars, and civic milestones, blending artistry with precise engraving to preserve moments in Danish history.

He took pride in teaching apprentices the patient craft of medal-making, and his studio near Copenhagen became a place of quiet concentration before he was laid to rest at Assistens Cemetery in 1856, leaving behind numerous coins and medallions prized for their detail.
