Biography

John Aldworth was born in 1914 and served in the armed forces during World War II. He was part of the generation that answered the call to defend democracy against fascism in Europe.

Aldworth made the supreme sacrifice in 1944, falling during the critical operations in Normandy. His memory is preserved at La Delivrande War Cemetery, where he rests alongside countless others who gave their lives for freedom.
