Biography
John Conover Nichols, born in 1896, pursued a legal education and entered public service, representing Oklahoma in the United States House of Representatives from 1937 to 1943.
He was dedicated to rural electrification, veterans' issues, and fair treatment for agricultural families, and after leaving Congress he continued practicing law while remaining active in civic causes; he is honored at Greenwood Cemetery.
