Biography
John D. Millett led Miami University through a period of transformation, expanding academic programs and championing the spirit of liberal arts education while encouraging students to pursue both intellectual rigor and civic engagement. He continued to serve the broader field of higher education through advisory roles and public service, remaining a respected voice in Ohio and beyond, and he is laid to rest at Oxford Cemetery, where colleagues and former students honor his legacy.
