John Daniel

Biography

John Daniel (1755–1823) was a printer whose craft was essential to the dissemination of knowledge and information during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. As a printer, he played a vital role in his community, producing the materials necessary for education, commerce, and communication.

Daniel was interred at Llangunnor, where his memory is preserved. His profession represented the growing importance of the printing trade in an increasingly literate society.
