Biography
John Dixon was an Australian rules football player who competed during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His involvement in the sport contributed to the development of Australian football in the Footscray region during a formative era.
Dixon's contributions to Australian rules football are remembered as part of the region's sporting heritage. He was laid to rest at Footscray General Cemetery following his death in 1947.
