Biography
John E. Moss rose from modest beginnings to serve his constituents as a U.S. Representative with integrity and quiet determination. Throughout his career, he fought for transparency in government, spearheading the movement that would become the Freedom of Information Act, and he consistently elevated the public’s right to know.
Even after retirement, he remained a mentor to younger leaders and a familiar presence at the Odd Fellows Lawn Cemetery, where his legacy of accountability and thoughtful service continues to inspire those who visit.
