Biography

John Epps was a respected physician whose medical practice and innovations contributed to the advancement of nineteenth-century medicine. Born in 1805, he practiced during a period of significant medical progress, when the profession was undergoing substantial reform and scientific development.

Epps's contributions to the medical profession were commemorated by his burial in Kensal Green Cemetery, where many of the nineteenth century's most distinguished figures found their final resting place. His death in 1869 concluded a career dedicated to the healing arts and the improvement of public health.
