Biography

John Evans, born in 1814, built a life as both a physician and a statesman, ultimately serving as governor of the Colorado Territory during a time of formidable challenges and opportunity. He brought a doctor’s care to politics, striving to heal divisions and encourage orderly growth in the western frontier.
