John Finley

Biography

John Finley (1759–1846) was a long-lived resident of South Park Township who witnessed the transformation of Pennsylvania from colonial times through the early nineteenth century. His extended life span allowed him to observe and participate in the growth and development of his community.

Finley's legacy is rooted in his dedication to his local community and his endurance through a period of significant historical change. His life spanned nearly nine decades of American history, from the eve of independence through the antebellum era.
