Biography
John Galsworthy, the Nobel laureate and prolific dramatist, rendered social issues with quiet moral force, most famously in The Forsyte Saga and numerous plays that examined class and conscience.
Though later credited with contributions to the screen, he is chiefly admired for shaping modern English fiction and for his lifelong defense of justice, a legacy honored at Highgate Cemetery.
