Biography

John Gunning was a surgeon of British origin who established his medical practice in nineteenth-century Paris. He brought his surgical expertise to the French capital, where he contributed to the advancement of medical practice during his career.

Gunning's legacy in Franco-British medical relations is commemorated by his burial at Cimetière de Montmartre, Division 32, where he was interred following his death in 1863.
