John H. Mickey, who came into the world in 1845, was known for nurturing the moral fiber of the Osceola community through countless quiet acts of kindness. His generous disposition made him a beloved confidant to neighbors who sought counsel in times of need.

In 1910, Osceola Cemetery became the resting place of a man who was admired for the calm dignity with which he approached every chapter of his life.
