John Harris

Biography

John Harris, born in 1760, was a Bridgeport merchant and civic supporter whose steady work helped bind the riverine town together through commerce and early infrastructure efforts.

He passed away in 1824 and was buried in Bridgeport Cemetery, where his commitment to the community's resilience is still recalled.
