Biography

John Hoover Rothermel, born in 1856, studied law and used his training to serve the public, winning election to the U.S. House of Representatives where he championed practical solutions for Pennsylvania citizens.

After leaving Congress he returned to the practice of law while remaining engaged in civic affairs, and his memory lives on through friends who visit his plot at Charles Evans Cemetery.
