John M. Mason

Biography

John M. Mason was born in 1770 and became a prominent Presbyterian minister whose theological leadership and preaching influenced American religious life during the early 19th century. His ministry occurred during a period of significant religious ferment and the establishment of American Protestant institutions.

Mason's work as a Presbyterian minister contributed to the spiritual development of the young nation and the growth of organized Protestantism in America. He died in 1829 and was buried at New York Marble Cemetery, reflecting his prominence in New York's religious and intellectual communities.
