Biography

John M. Pattison was a respected Ohio statesman whose leadership was anchored in a lifelong commitment to the public good; after serving his region in Congress, he capped his career as the state’s 43rd governor, tirelessly advocating for working families and rural communities.

He is remembered not only for the earnest character he brought to the governor’s office but also for the kindness he extended to neighbors, and his memory rests peacefully at Greenlawn Cemetery where friends and constituents continue to honor his legacy.
