John Marshall Rose

Biography

John Marshall Rose served the public in Pennsylvania both as a jurist and, for a time, as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. His legal mind and calm temperament helped him navigate the pressing issues of the day while remaining grounded in the values of his home district.

Even after he left Washington, Rose remained available to friends and neighbors who sought his counsel, lending the same steady hand he had given the nation. He believed that the best public service was born of attentiveness to constituents and a love for the rule of law.
