Biography

John McGregor Adams, born in 1834, was a dedicated advocate for education and community advancement. He brought a thoughtful voice to civic discussions, always urging that progress be paired with compassion.

He served in numerous charitable capacities, mentoring young leaders and supporting organizations that worked to bring opportunity to all. His lifelong devotion to public service remained a source of inspiration, and he now rests in Graceland Cemetery enjoying the gratitude of the city he loved.
