Biography

John Northmore was a notable figure in Western Australian history, living from 1865 to 1958. He witnessed and participated in the development of the colony during a transformative period spanning nearly a century.

Northmore's long life allowed him to see Western Australia evolve from a frontier society into a modern state. He was laid to rest at Karrakatta Cemetery, one of Perth's most significant burial grounds, reflecting his place in the community's history.
